Field Log: Waccamaw Sector – Camry Class Shuttle Report

Stardate: 05142025 Earth-based, Mid-Spring, Afternoon Mission

The Camry Class shuttle made landfall on the southeastern shore of the Waccamaw Basin under partial cloud cover and low barometric pressure. The terrain was mottled with marl beds, oyster shell fragments, and waterlogged flora. Ambient life signatures were high, especially in the shallows and among submerged detritus structures.

Specimens were gathered from several biotic substrates including shell casings, soft sediment pockets, and periphyton films coating submerged relics. At times, collection operations were impeded by winged terrestrial natives—species unknown, highly mobile, with an apparent fondness for exposed epidermis. A few even breached the Camry shuttle's interior while the rear hatch was unsealed.

Despite this, retrieval was successful. Multiple containers were filled with active biome material showing signs of high microbial density and protozoan movement. Mission was concluded with rapid departure once vector stings reached critical distraction threshold.

Now en route to central lab (garage), with bio-cargo stowed in a secure black quarantine vessel for acclimation and systems integration. Crew remains intact, though slightly exsanguinated in the extremities.
